Junior swimming standout Sam Cavanaugh captured the Gold Medal in the 200 Individual Medley yesterday at Day 1 of the WPIAL AA Swimming Championships at Pitt. In a thrilling finish, Sam beat Mt. Pleasant’s Joseph Gardner, who had been leading the entire race, until Sam surged past him in the final length.
